Funny Little Bored Kids
We didn't even have a long wait, for which I'm grateful-I'd hate to see how crazy they got if we did! Emmalynne had a doctor appointment and the girls found a few ways to entertain themselves.
Emmalynne said, "Wara, sit on my lap." Clara obliged.
Then when they switched roles Clara thought she was the coolest kid ever.
Who needs duct tape when the doctors office gives out large stickers? FYI: I had nothing to do with the placement of said sticker.

Disappearing Baby Bump
Sunday I was thinking my little baby bump looked like a little baby bump as opposed to a fat roll. So, I had Carman take a few pictures. We were having trouble getting a shot that showed my bump really well so I told him to take a few from different angles. So, here's the best bump pic:Then he got one from the other side and I promise I didn't do anything but move my head and arms, and viola... no more bump! I thought it was kind of funny. Hopefully you enjoy it at least a little bit. Oh, and this would be the 17 week mark... and a day.

Special Art Project!
One night we accidentally forgot to put a diaper on Emmalynne when we put her to bed-and she woke up dry! So we decided we'd finally give in to her pleadings of the past few months and start night time potty training. Thus far, we have 6 successful nights in a row! I am pleasantly surprised! Since we have Megan over right now, I made them a special deal that if they both woke up dry they could do a special art project the next day.
Here they are showing off their sand art:

Snuggles
Here's the week's crew. Megan was the first to snuggle with Jared and they piled in one by one until they were all lovingly crowding him out!

Her Own Opinions
A few weeks ago we were all at a yard sale. We couldn't get Emmalynne to a bathroom quick enough and she had an accident. Consequently, I bought her a pair of shorts that I didn't care for so she didn't have to walk around in pee. Turns out, she LOVES those stinkin' shorts!
Last night when folding laundry, I decided to get rid of them. I threw them in the garbage in my bathroom. This morning Em was in my bathroom with Carman and I, and all I could think was, "please don't look in the garbage, please don't look in the garbage..." Of course, she did. She spotted her shorts and said, "Mom, NO! These are mine! They're not garbage!" (why couldn't she have blamed Carman-he was there too) She took them out of the garbage, brushed them off, and went towards her room. I told her to go put them in her drawer because although I could handle her finding them I just couldn't handle her wearing them today! She obeyed and as she came out of her room she said, "Mom, these are my shorts and you threw them in the garbage. That makes me sad. These are mine. Don't throw them in the garbage. They're not broken. That makes me sad, mom." Ouch. I apologized. She accepted. And after 5 whole minutes, she put them on and wore them all day long....
One more story, don't get bored, its a good one too! This morning I was, again, doing laundry. Emmalynne came into my room with me, climbed on my bed and watched me fold clothes. Then she noticed my sheets and blankets were not on my bed. She smiled big, patted the bed, and said, "Mom, did you pee the bed, mom?" HA! It was so funny. I told her I did not. She said, "Oh... Did Dad pee the bed, mom?" I told her my sheets were just dirty and time to be washed. The morel of the story for me was that apparently I don't wash my sheets enough!

Ensuing Madness
We had a little episode on Monday. Emmalynne and Clara went upstairs to play by themselves. For the most part, they're pretty good. This is the exception to the rule: Em poured an entire bottle of shampoo on Clara's head. Clara came screaming down the stairs. When I turned and looked at her, I really wanted to laugh. It was layered on thick! Her whole head was covered. I'm surprised she could breathe! And it happened to be bright red shampoo and she was still in her white pjs! If Clara weren't so sad I would have spent more than 10 seconds looking for the camera. :( A bath, a TON of rinsing, and a shop-vac later, all is well.
And after all that I believe the craziness is just beginning. Tonight my friend is dropping off her rambunctious 2 year old son that we'll be watching for a week. It was funny when the little boy's 9 year old sister asked me if I was scared. I said no and asked if I should be. She said, "well you should at least be nervous!"
And just half way into his visit, I'll get to taste the life of teenage parenting! My sister is going out of town on Saturday and we get to have her 3 kids come over for the week. Jared and Zach weren't exactly thrilled until they realized Carman is out of school right now and they get to play games with him. Whatever made Carman so much cooler than me!?

All Aboard!
The Grandma Train! I'm not so sure how my mother mustered up the following amount of energy. Clara's face in this first picture is really funny, click on the image to make it bigger.
