Picture Update

This was taken today. She just looked so cute stting up in this chair.

Here are a couple from her 3 month picture on March 14th. She is always so happy!

I don't think she could have opened her mouth any wider. Oh, and my sister made her this really cute dress!

Carman claims he woke up just before I was going to take this picture but he posed long enough for the shot. He might not have done it if he knew how beautiful his bed head was!

I was going to take a picture of Clara this morning and as soon as I got the camera out, Emmalynne ran over to pose with her sister.

Sorry About That

Not only have I been rather slacker about posting lately, the things I have managed to post have all been about disgusting bodily functions. I hope you didn't block my blog from your computer :) So... sorry about that.

Tip : do not lay laminate flooring in your kitchen or bathroom. It will inevitably buckle. Bad. Just do tile from the beginning. I'm just glad we realized this early and not after a few months or so.

Emmalynne has learned that if she doesn't want to be doing whatever it is that I want her to be doing (eg: going to bed, sitting quietly in church, etc) all she has to do is say "pee pee" and I'll take her to the potty.

Friday night I was giving Emmalynne a bath. She was having a good time and started jumping around. (bad mom, I know) I guess it was super cool because Clara started laughing! It was so cute! It was a nice, strong, bellly laugh and I loved it. For the first time, I encouraged Emmalynne to keep jumping in the bathtub. I just couldn't get enough of Clara's little laugh.

Then I remembered the first time Emmalynne laughed was when my sister was giving her a bath with Megan and Megan was splashing around. Funny, huh?

Our Two Fairies

Carman and I frequently talk about the Laundry Fairy. Typically, its more of a complaint than anything else. It seems like the Laundry Fairy never comes. When she does come, she always forgets to fold the clothes and put them away. Crazy Laundry Fairy. Today we had a visit from a new fairy.

Because of our crazy floor redoing, Louie has been banished from the downstairs. We have to carry him to take him outside to go to the bathroom. So, this morning I didn't particularly want to carry Louie out. So we played upstairs for about an hour. Emmalynne had decided she wanted a bath early in the morning and had been running around naked for about an hour. I was downstairs when I heard Emmalynne upstairs say, "Ewww... ewww..." I knew it'd be bad. I could smell the poo as I walked up the stairs. I just wasn't sure if it was my daughter's or my daughter's dog's! I saw Em in the hall and asked her where Louie was. She directed me to the playroom. I opened the door and Bam! There was a big ol' Emmalynne poo on the floor. Disgusting. I ran to the bathroom to get some toilet paper. But guess what? When I got back it was gone. The Poo-poo Fairy had stopped by and cleaned it all up for me!! The Poo-poo Fairy did a very thorough job, not a trace left.

Maybe I'll have Louie take over the Laundry Fairy's job so that will get done....

A Little Update

Life seems to be going so quickly lately. For whatever reason I don't feel like I have anything to blog about. So, at this point I may as well just sum up the past little while. Last week was Carman's spring break. He still had work, but it was nice for him to not have to worry about school. Of course, I put him to work with a big fat house project. We're putting laminate flooring in the downstairs. It's about half way done. Poor Carman. School started and we're not done. I'm hoping we'll be done sometime before Halloween. Thats a joke. This weekend is my real hope. We'll see.
Emmalynne has been potty training. It seems as though she wants to be the one in charge. Thats fun/frustrating. I like seeing her grow up and conciously make her own choices. I just don't like it when that choice involves peeing on the floor. :)

Clara turned 3 months old on Sunday! She loves to smile. I have a great picture to post soon. Since we've been putting our flooring in, the majority of our house stuff is in the garage right now. Hence, I seem to be missing the cord to hook the camera up to the computer. Clara loves to watch people. Her favorites are me, Emmalynne, and men with loud voices (including her father).

Oh, and we (mainly I) thought it'd be a good idea to get a second dog to run around with Louie so he wouldn't be too hyper. Nope, not sure what I was thinking. We owned a St. Bernard for 6 whole days before I came to my senses. Louie thought it was spectacular. But I'm afraid he's the only one who had that opinion. You know how sometimes when you have a baby the older child feel left out and reverts back to baby behavior and seeks for more attention? Well, I'm wondering if Louie thought he was the baby of our family and had some jealousy issues? Either that or he's just trying to bond with Clara:

Life Lesson

You shouldn't ever leave your naked toddler unattended in your bathroom. She might poop on the floor. Then step in it. Then track it all the way downstairs.
