3 Minutes With Clara
Clara has been smiling a lot and I wanted to capture it with the camera. I was surprised at how many different faces that girl can make in a small amount of time. I never did get a good one of her smiling. Here's a good one of her sneezing though!

Poo
The topic of this post is just as the title suggets: poo. Doggy poo, that is. Just for fun, I'm compiling a list of interesting things we've found in Louie's poo:
1. plastic golf balls
2. a sock
3. pieces of his rope
4. a pacifier

Wide Awoke
Carman and I like to go to the mall to walk around and cause mischief. We were riding in the glass elevator when the lady next to me looked at Clara and asked how old the baby was, said how cute she was, etc, etc. Then she got a better look at Clara's face and saw her beautiful big eyes and said, "oh, and she's awoke!" Her friend next to her said, "Yah, WIDE AWOKE!"
Those aren't typos.

Funny Little Girl
I was watching my niece yesterday and she said several things that made me laugh. Here are two of them:
Megan: Sarah, will you get me some cheese?
Me: I will in a few minutes, I'm feeding Clara right now.
Megan: What is she eating?
Me: Milk
Megan: What kind of milk?
Me: Mommy's milk.
Megan: Oh. (long pause) I have milk.
Me: Really, where?
Megan: Right here! (pointing to the middle of her chest)
................a few minutes later...........................
Megan: I wish I could be a mommy and feed my baby milk when I get married.
Me: You can.
Funny story number 2
Megan: Emmalynne stop that! You can't have that! No!! Emmalynne, I said 'no!'
Emmalynne: *hysterical crying*
(repeated several times and throughout the entire day)
Me: Megan, when Emmalynne is doing something wrong tell me about it and I'll help her make a better choice since I'm her mommy. It makes her sad when you yell at her.
Megan: I wish I could be a mommy...

A Worried Mommy
Today was our first day back to real life. Although Carman went back to work last Wednesday, today was his first day back to school. I forgot how long these days are.
As I did my best to thoroughly enjoy my day (doing things like nursing Clara with Emmalynne sitting on my lap) I let my mind begin to wander. I glanced at my beautiful girls and thought, "Is it true that some day they're going to grow up, move out, and need me on an entirely different level?" Sure, Emmalynne's only one and a half and Clara's not even a month yet, but still... I don't want my babies to go. I love them so much and I can't imagine life without them. Honestly, some day Emmalynne won't want to sit on my lap while I nurse and instead of running to kiss Daddy good-bye when they part in the morning, she'll be asking him to drop her off a block from the school so her friends don't see. Ok, so it better not be THAT bad. I guess what I'm trying to say in all of my ramblings is that I like it this way. Life is good. I love my family.
